This beautiful doll has a strawberry blonde mohair wig and rare root beer brown sleep eyes with realistic looking upper eyelashes and hand-painted dark lower lashes and reddish brown eyebrows; plus a hand-painted rosy pink closed mouth and pink blushed cheeks and knees. She comes with a hand-knitted outfit that includes a twirly skirt, with matching top and purse, both closing with little pearl buttons. This outfit was more than likely knitted using a Mary Hoyer knitting pattern. She is absolutely gorgeous and I believe would enhance any Mary Hoyer doll collection with her timeless charm and beauty. This lovely, approximately 80 year old all composition doll has been well cared for and is in nice clean condition, with replacement stringing that allows her to hold a pose. This doll does have typical finger tip and shoulder joint and leg joint rubs; and additionally has the unfortunate underside of two finger tips missing which need a little restoration attention; as seen in the photos. Under magnification, crazing of the composition is visible. My iPhone camera, which I use for my listing photos, is extremely good at picking up issues you and I would probably never even imagine to be present without using a similar camera, a jeweler’s magnifying glass, or by having extremely good super-human vision. Please note, one of the doll’s ice-skate blades appears to have been factory-attached incorrectly; I have left this for you to remove and glue on straight, if you so wish to do so. Be sure to zoom in and take a look at this doll’s original beautifully hand-painted details: eyebrows, smoky colored eye shadow, rosy lips, and blushed cheeks and knees. Her hair is a gorgeous strawberry blonde hair that appears to easily holds a curl. I did not wash it before listing, but noticed someone had pulled loose the wig edge in a couple spots. Maybe to peek to see if she had the pre-molded hair below her wig. I was not sure what to look for but It appears her head is smooth.
